SWAC Announces Women's Tennis Postseason Honors

BIRMINGHAM, Ala.- The Southwestern Athletic Conference announced its 2025 Women’s Tennis Postseason Honors on Thursday. The all-conference honors were voted on by the league’s coaches and sports information directors.

Florida A&M’s Sara Rakim was tabbed Player of the Year while Alabama State’s Kesmat El Tawil was named Freshman of the Year.
 
Rakim was a dominating presence for the Lady Rattlers this season at singles position one during regular season competition. She posted an undefeated 6-0 record in league play.

Alabama State’s El Tawil had a phenomenal debut season during her initial collegiate campaign. She compiled an impressive undefeated record at No. 5 singles going 5-0.

Alabama State's Anuk Christiansz and Jackson State's Hernan Geria were both named Co-Coach of the Year.
