MONTGOMERY, Ala.- Alabama State men's tennis capped off a 3-0 weekend at the SWAC Tennis Pod II with a 4-0 win over Southern University on Sunday morning. The win over Southern clinched the 2025 SWAC Men's Tennis Regular Season Title for Alabama State.
David Grandinot defeated Lwazi Ngwenya of Southern to cap of the the 4-0 win.
Alex Verlaguet won 6-0, 6-0 over Gabriel Inyang and Metteo Lataste won by default to account for ASU's single points.
The Hornets took a 1-0 with a win on court one by Matis Amier and Alexandre Verlaguet coupled with a default on court three.
Alabama State went 3-1 on the weekend with its only loss coming to No. 38 Arkansas
