BIRMINGHAM, Ala.- The Southwestern Athletic Conference has announced its 2025 SWAC Bowling Postseason Honors highlighted by impressive performances during regular season competition.
The all-conference honors and individual award winners were determined by average individual pinfall during conference play.
Prairie View A&M’s Jayda Gordon claimed SWAC Bowler of the Year while Alabama State’s Jenna McKnight took home SWAC Freshman of the Year accolades.
Alabama State head coach Andrew Chatmon and Southern head coach Barry Doyle were both named SWAC Co-Coach of the Year after leading their respective program to 21-7 overall records in league play.
Prairie View A&M’s Jayda Gordon (205.68) and Alabama State’s Jenna McKnight (196.32) headline the All-SWAC First Team finishing in first and second place respectively.
Jackson State’s Catalina Tovar, (194.33), Southern’s Jailyn Rogers (192.75), and Alabama State’s Olivia Miller, (192.39) round out the first team members after finishing regular season competition ranked third through fifth respectively.
Alabama State’s Lyric O’Steen, (188.32), Southern’s Nyla Wilson, (188.00), Jackson State’s MacKenzie Conway (186.82), Alabama A&M’s Rose Ugbinada (186.29), and Alabama A&M’s Tamyra Long (186.11) were tabbed as members of the All-SWAC Second Team after concluding regular season play ranked sixth through tenth respectively.
The 2025 SWAC Bowling Tournament is set to be held March 21-23 in Arlington, Texas at the Bowling ITRC.
