Alabama State and Southern Named Bowling Regular Season Co-Champions

Final Results

D’IBERVILLE, Miss.- The Alabama State Hornets and the Southern Jaguars both claimed shares of the 2025 SWAC Bowling Regular Season title on Sunday at Cypress Lanes. The two teams finished regular season competition with identical 21-7 overall records.

Jackson State finished in third place (19-9), Alabama A&M claimed fourth place (18-10), and Prairie View A&M finished in fifth place (16-12) to round out the top five finishers in the regular season final team standings.

Alabama State was led by freshman Jenna Knight who averaged 196.32 pins in 28 games played. Southern was led by Jailyn Rogers who completed regular season competition with a 192.75 average in 28 games played.

The title marks Alabama State’s first regular season title  since the 2018 season. The Jaguars claimed their third consecutive regular season crown having also won titles at the conclusions of the 2023 and 2024 seasons.
