TALLAHASSEE, Fla.-The Florida A&M Rattlers defeated the Southern Lady Jaguars 3-1 (25-12, 20-25, 25-22, 25-23) Sunday at the Al Lawson Center.

With the win the Rattlers claimed their fourth league tournament title in five years. FAMU was led by a double-double performance from Sydney Whitfield, who registered 13 kills and 12 digs on the day. 

Farah Farooq added 14 kills to help the offense. On the defensive end, Victoria Santana chipped in for with 24 digs to go with seven blocks from Farooq.

The Southern Jaguars were led by Ariana Brown who tallied 18 kills during the match. SU setter Jordan Felix contributed a team leading 29 assists while fellow teammate Sereniti Johnson led Southern with 21 digs.

Florida A&M qualifies for the 2025 NCAA Volleyball Tournament with the win on Sunday claiming the leagues’ automatic qualifier berth. FAMU will learn its first-round opponent when the NCAA Selection Show reveals the bracket on Sunday, Nov. 30, on ESPN.
