Bethune-Cookman Defeats Jackson State 4-3

ATLANTA, Ga.- Bethune-Cookman kept its quest for a 2024 SWAC Baseball Tournament title alive as the Wildcats plated two runs in the bottom of the ninth inning and one run in the bottom of the tenth inning to defeat Jackson State 4-3.
 
Bethune-Cookman’s Daniel Figueroa, Sergio Rivera, and Colton Olasin each contributed RBIs for the Wildcats. The game ended in the tenth inning after Bethune-Cookman got a walk with the bases loaded to end the game.
 
Jackson State’s Lenny Montesano contributed a game-high two RBIs for the Tigers. Isaiah Williams was charged with the loss after pitching one inning and allowing three runs.
 
Bethune-Cookman’s Dale Michaud picked up the win for the Wildcats as he tossed 1.1 innings allowing no earned runs.
 
The Wildcats will face the Tigers once again tomorrow in an elimination game set for 12:00 pm EST.
