JSU Set To Face LSU In NCAA Softball Tournament

BIRMINGHAM, Ala.- The Jackson State Tigers will face No. 9 seed and Southeastern Conference semifinalist LSU in the Baton Rouge Regional. 

The Tigers will take on LSU in game two of the Baton Rouge Regional at 5:00 p.m. CT on Friday, May 17, on the SEC Network.

JSU defeated Florida A&M 3-1 in Friday’s championship game to claim their first SWAC title since 2011.

The NCAA softball tournament comprises 64 teams (32 conference champions and 32 at-large bids) divided into 16 regions.

The top 16 seeds host a regional, which is a double-elimination bracket. The winner of each region moves on to the Super Regionals.
