BIRMINGHAM, Ala.- The Southwestern Athletic Conference has tabbed Texas Southern’s Ashlie Hobbs for SWAC Women’s Golf Weekly Honors for her outstanding performance during this past week of competition.
Golfer
Hobbs was victorious at the Hornet Invitational in being the low individual medalist on the women's side with a three-day total of 228 (78-73-77). She carded a five-over-par 77 in her final round which included three birdies and nine pars.

The Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) is considered one of the premier HBCU conferences in the country and currently ranks among the elite in the nation in terms of HBCU alumni playing with professional sports teams.
Current championship competition offered by the league includes competition for men in Baseball, Basketball, Cross Country, Football, Golf, Indoor Track and Field, Outdoor Track and Field, and Tennis.
